Executive Summary: | Whilst on a Paris-Dublin-Cork transit flight the BAe 146 was parked on Stand 24 at Dublin Airport. A cleaning truck, intending to park on the port side of the aircraft at a point forward of the aircraft approached the stationary aircraft from behind. As the truck passed the aircraft the top RHS of the truck struck the port aileron removing part of the aileron tip and the outboard static discharger. It also tore a 3x1 inch hole at the outboard part of the aileron. The driver of the truck reported the incident and the aircraft was declared unserviceable. |
